Anja Križnik Tomažin

I am excited with my DNA test results because now I know where I need to be careful and how to eat in the future. I have to increase the intake of calcium and vitamin D, which means that I need to eat some cheese, yogurt or an egg over a week, and often resort to fish, such as herring, salmon and sardines. All this because my DNA test showed that I have certain genes that may affect my bone metabolism and thus contribute to the reduction of bone mass. With an incorrect diet I could be more vulnerable to such problems.

Most likely, I will introduce chia seeds to my diet, which I found out recently. They contain more calcium than milk and more omega-3s than salmon. As for vitamin D the DNA test recommended 15 minutes of daily sun exposure, which is also not bad, at least I have an excuse for daily sunbathing :) . All this because my DNA test showed that I have certain genes that may affect my bone metabolism and thus contribute to the reduction of bone mass. With an incorrect diet I could be more vulnerable to such problems.

The DNA test Premium also revealed that my body needs more omega 3 fatty acids, and that the most suitable exercise type for me is aerobic-anaerobic, such as badminton, volleyball, swimming … the sports in which I always enjoy and really feel better. Even my favorite – kiteboarding falls into this category!

The DNA analysis is very broad and very easy to understand and I could talk about it on and on…

Why did Anja order her DNA test?

I often wondered what was best for my body: what food, what activity suits me best, did my body lack anything and what should I eat and do to feel good and be healthy? But I never got a real answer. I have tried and tested various things, activities, types of diets, taken various dietary supplements such as vitamins and minerals, but never with confidence that I was doing the right thing. I can not wait to get my DNA test results, so that I will finally know what type of nutrition and lifestyle is good for me!
